The above is a slight misquote from Jeff Foxworthy (originally, I believe it’s, “I ain’t peed in 3 days”), I don’t usually speak like that.
Anyway, it’s not actually been 3 days. I showered this morning at a friends house. But I haven’t had heat or warm water in 2 days now. My landlord’s place is being tented for termites, and they turned the gas off for all 3 houses on the property because they’re “on the same head.” I have wet clothes in the dryer. I have dirty dishes waiting to be washed. I mopped the floors with cold soapy water.
Saturday morning I took a very quick, very cold shower. And this (Sunday) morning I took a shower at a friend’s house. And tomorrow morning I’ll throw a bit of extra cologne on and hope my gas is back on in the evening when I get home…
