KC brought this up at work the other day and we were both relieved to find out that the other person did it the right way. “Good, I don’t work with a freak” is roughly what I think we both thought.
So we figured the strange “under” people must have SOME reason. We did some research and found that the only really good reason is the cat reason… some people have evil cats that like to pull on toilet paper. There are no other good reasons, but there are many reasons for over.
We found that Gertie delved into this in depth. She lists many good reasons for hanging toilet paper “over.”

The reasons for under are so absurd, they’re laughable. That disgusts me. Beauty is one thing, but give me a fucking break. This woman needs a serious smack across the face.
So clearly the answer is over. Now, I can live with under in households where people just hang it randomly (as long as such a person doesn’t live in my household) – but those who insist on it under just drive me nuts. What’s wrong with you?
