So I bought a motorcycle this weekend. No, wait. Last weekend, actually.
So far this week I’ve:
– Had a key made for it
– Purchased and installed a new battery
– Drained the gas tank and refilled it
– Cleaned rust off of a handful of electrical contacts
– Attempted to replace the sparkplugs (they sold me the wrong ones)
– Oiled the clutch and choke making them actually movable again
Having done that, things are getting better. As of tonight, it appears there is an electrical issue somewhere as the electrical starter doesn’t work. Could be a lot of things:
– Bad wires somewhere
– Bad connections somewhere
– Bad solenoid
– Bad starter
But this will require a multi-tester and some time. Bit by bit, right?
