Working Harmony code – on SourceForge!
July 23rd 2007 @ 4:59 pm Tech

As many of your know, we now have working code to program Harmony remotes in Linux (and even in Windows)! Well, now our SF project has finally got approved! Check it out at http://www.sf.net/projects/harmonycontrol/.

All official releases are in CVS and tagged, and additional patches are also in CVS. The 0.9 release is also up there. I recommend that you try CVS if you’re having a problem. I don’t intend to be one of those projects where we expect users to live off of CVS, but for the first few weeks, that’s probably the best place to check out.

We have a -commit and a -devel mailing list, so feel free to subscribe to them. We don’t yet have a webpage, but we will soon! Once that’s up, updates will get posted there instead of here.

Update 1: Sorry, dig/slashdot links were from old story, updated.

FYI in the software README, reference is made to members.harmony.com. the correct URL is members.harmonyremote.com

Haha, I found this site the night that I saw the 880 on woot for $90. Wouldn’t have bought it without linux support, can’t wait to use your software when it arrives this week!

What would be the changes to get this piece of software working with my Harmony 525?
