I was talking to a friend a few weeks back about the most annoying thing on the planet: stupid people. This is of course the most annoying thing on the planet – I suspect that’s even true if you’re stupid, but who knows.
When I say stupid, I mean people who pop wheelies on a motorcycle across 4 lines on the highway during traffic. People who walk into traffic without looking. People who accidentally shoot off a testicle by using a bullet as a fuse (see here – scroll to “Arkansas”). People who blow dry their hair in the tub. Darwin Award type stuff. You know – people who will die because they’re not meant to be alive. People who shouldn’t ever have kids.
Which brought my friend to point out that natural selection didn’t seem to be effectively solving this problem like it should. To which my response was “well, natural selection works – it kills them off, but unfortunately they breed like fucking rats.” And it’s true – dumb people seem to have more kids. Ever noticed the moron at the store who can’t seem to figure out which coupon is the right one is also the fuckass with 9 kids? I’m sure she’ll get hit by a bus, but nature isn’t quick enough to get all of her annoying spawn before they breed… especially since their mom isn’t smart enough to teach them about safe sex so they’ll be spawning more useless life forms by the time they’re 16.
And don’t get me wrong – it’s not about wealth; there are plenty of rich dumb motherfuckers with too many poor excuses for children. However, there is one problem that seems to plague dumb people who are also poor. It’s a problem that makes me want to drive a needle through my eyeball just at the thought of it. People who have kids for welfare money. Are you kidding me? That extra few bucks… will not cover the expense of the kid much less provide extra money for you! And the saddest part isn’t that this happens. Oh no, I get that given rough circumstances and a poor education that someone could make such a mistake. I do understand that. But you’d think that after the second or third kid spawned from such an ill-conceived idea, they’d start to realize they are in fact in a worse position! All of a sudden the same bills are harder to pay! But they don’t. Or at least some don’t. And they have more kids. Kids who will (if they make it that far) grow up and make even dumber mistakes.
Of course dumb rich people make similarly stupid mistakes, but the example I felt like bitching about tonight happened to be the one above.
People should have to pass an IQ test to have a child. And if you can’t pass, you need to be able to breed with someone with such an exceptionally high IQ that the kid has a greater than 75% chance of being above the IQ limits for reproduction. And the IQ wouldn’t even need to be high. I don’t want a world of geniuses – the world needs more than just doctors and lawyers and lazy smart people. It just needs to be high enough to weed out the exceptionally brain-dead people that by their very nature shouldn’t have made it past the age of 5, but nature was too busy killing off other brain-less babies that it missed them.
I hate you Phil. you are such an asshole. What give you da right to judge another human life that God in his wisdom created in his image? it make me sad ta know that you will be damned to hell while ill be wit the rest of the good people in heavan I only wish God would give me the strength to reach out to you and help you see your evil ways

Phil, I couldn’t agree with you more. I’ve been a believer for a while now that it’s actually a bunch of the “smart” people that have affectively killed natural selection for humans. We protect the stupid, allowing them to get huge financial gains for being stupid. They in turn teach their off-spring to do one really stupid thing, sue someone and live better then most middle class people. Stupid people are not only encouraged to be that way, but incouraged to procreate, thus further contaminating the gene pool.
As for people who use child birth as a supplemental income… again I feel society is partly to blame. I’m all for welfare as everyone needs help sometime. I’ve been there, I’ve been on welfare, but you lean on society to help you out, you get your life in order, then you get the F#@! off it. Some might say these people actually are smart as they learn how to “work” our broken system. Especially in a state like CA where the cost of living is so high, why not use society to pay for what you need. It’s wrong but it works.
Everyone does something stupid at least once in their life, that’s how a lot of people learn. However it’s the ones that don’t learn from their own mistakes or from the experiences of others that drive me batty. The people who don’t take responsibilities for their actions (stupid or not) that just need to grow up.
To take a large leap (or is it), If humans have killed natural selection for themselves, might that explain the increase in blanket destruction of humans in mass via natural disasters as of recent years. Perhaps nature is culling the herd in whatever way it can?
Well said! And you brought up the other point that I didn’t get to (I was considering a seperate post): the insane lengths we go to to protect/enable stupid people. Does coffee really need a “Caution: hot” label? If you don’t know this, then you have bigger problems. Does Windex really need a “Warning: Do not ingest” sign?
Its no so much the stupid people that bother me, although they do. Its stupid people with power that really annoy the hell out of me currently.

Yeah, I saw it a few months ago – terrific movie, and a sobering look at where we might possible end up.
Since you decided to bash on stupid people that are poor (which I am in the category of probably, and no I don’t collect social security or welfare) I am going to pick up on the part where you left off: The idiots in power. Which continue to make fundamental fuckups that lead to our deteriorating society getting vital organs ripped out and left to bleed onto the floor.
Now don’t get me wrong the US Constitution is the best document since the Bible, but in a country where idiots of taken over only to give their rights away, I really wonder.
Take for instance drug laws. How does shooting at people smoking joints make the world a better place? I mean if it wasn’t for people shooting at other people there wouldn’t be any war, and thats why I like cannabis. It makes me not want to go shoot fucking idiots.
I may not be the smartest guy in the world but I do have an above average intelligence, and let me tell you I don’t think it does any good. I think intelligence leads to stupid shit. You can be as smart as you’d like but the repercussions of a very intelligent plan could be totally fucking ridiculous. Take foreign policy for instance, its a great idea to assist people throughout the world but what about the people at home that are wondering why they are working at McDonalds when they have college degree? I mean all these fucking geniuses that control things amount to idiots when the results of their actions are so detrimental to the safety, health, and wellbeing of so many people.
I would like to give a shoutout to Phillip Morris, gun manufacturers, the CIA, Dick Cheney in addition to general betray-us, and chief fuckface himself Bill O’Rielly. If it wasn’t for all you fucking brain scientists we might live in a world a little less fucked up.
To the “Bill Gates” poster above: I agree 100%. Our government has given away all the rights we worked so hard to get and this administration has been the worst (IMO) in this country’s history. I’m with you. Of course, I include Bush, Cheney, Rice, Ashcroft, etc. all under “stupid people”, but that’s just me. Stupid, in my definition, includes not having the smarts to use your intelligence wisely. And since Bush can’t even speak complete or valid sentences half the time, he nominates himself for Chief Dumbfuck.
The only disagreement I have with your list is gun manufacturers. Countries with liberal gun control laws tend to have less gun related crimes just like countries with liberal drug laws tend to have less drug-related crimes and less addicts.
