It has been requested I take pictures. Be forewarned, they’re not pretty — the bike is old and in pieces. But pictures are provided below. Also an update:
– Got the oil changed (on this bike oil and tranny fluid are the same)
– Got the electrical system happy – or at least happier. I still have to have the clutch in the exact right position for the starter to kick in, but that’s okay.
– Talked to the good folks at Del Amo Motorsports, got a diagram of my carburetor (since my shop manual hasn’t arrived), and a refresher on how to clean a carburetor, and some carb cleaning fluid.
– Got the gearbox flowing. I can now get the bike through all of the gears, and I did that a few times to get the new oil in and around the gears.
