In the past two weeks alone I’ve pulled up behind several people who were in the right line, but had no blinker on and were behind the white line – not even far enough forward to be attempting to see if they could turn right. As such, I assumed they were going straight. Then the light turns green and they immediately turn right.

This is beyond unacceptable! What the fuck is wrong with these people, where do they come from, and how do I send them back? I realize there are states where right-turn-on-red is not legal and as such, I’ve always excused the occasional time I see this as someone new to California. However, the rate at which I’m seeing it now can only be explained by people too scared, too dumb, or too ignorant to drive properly.

Speaking of intersections, there’s another group of drivers who need to be skull-fucked with a chainsaw. Let me preface this by saying that I drive fast. Chances are, I drive faster than you. In fact, if you drive faster than me, I sure hope you’re a professional.

Anyway, as I was saying, I see a lot of people at intersections that do what my father calls “watching the electricity run up the pole.” By that, he’s referring to people who start inching forward before the light turns green. Now, if people could correctly predict the light turning green, this wouldn’t be such a problem, but the people who do this are brain-dead. Not just because this is an asinine thing to do, but because they’re usually inching forward 10+ seconds before the change. And they continue to inch. And inch. Until their car is 3/4 into the intersection and the light is still red.

Now – this alone, while annoying, isn’t so bad. What really fucking pisses me off is that these are the people that drive 3 mph below the motherfucking speed limit! If you’re in so much of a hurry that you need to be inching forward, I expect to see you driving fast! Because at best you buy your self a second or so by inching forward, but if you’d stay behind the line and just drive faster, you’d by yourself minutes, or tens of minutes!

So, clearly these people are not in a hurry. So why the fuck are they so anxious to take off??

Of course, I’ve complained about bad driving habits before. And all of these people should be shot, hung, disemboweled, decapitated, drawn and quartered, skull-fucked with a chainsaw, and castrated.

I’ve noticed that more and more people around LA that seem to not understand right turns are legal on red lights (unless otherwise stated)!
