{"id":52,"date":"2005-02-07T01:14:48","date_gmt":"2005-02-07T05:14:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.phildev.net\/phil\/newblog\/?p=52"},"modified":"2008-09-29T16:31:56","modified_gmt":"2008-09-29T20:31:56","slug":"pictures-tires-etc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.phildev.net\/phil\/blog\/?p=52","title":{"rendered":"Pictures, Tires, etc."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Just when it&#8217;s all almost done&#8230; it&#8217;s not.<\/p>\n<p>KC&#8217;s been bugging me for pictures of the cleaned bike, so they&#8217;re below. <\/p>\n<p>Today I replaced the other spark plug, opened my gear-box cover and lubed the other side of the clutch cable, and tightened the drain on the left carburetor&#8217;s float-bowl (which fixed a gas leak). However, it turns out the back tire has a major hole now &#8211; not sure when or how that happened, but it will delay the registration of the bike by a week or so. Damnit.<\/p>\n<p>When I opened the cover to the gear-box, the oil and lube that had been put on the chain had all solidified in the bottom of the chamber and turned into a thick black sludge. It was more like trying to clean a diaper than an engine. There were even two dead spiders in there.
