There is no “the<\/b> perfect weekend,” I don’t believe. But every now and then, very rarely, you run into “a<\/b> perfect weekend.” This weekend was one of them. <\/p>\n
That’s almost completely due to my super-spectacular girlfriend. We didn’t do anything very special. We didn’t spend lots of money, go to a fancy restaurant, go on vacation, try anything new, or anything of the sort. This weekend wasn’t entirely about sex, or cuddling, or going out and having fun, or staying in and relaxing. Yet this weekend had a perfect mix of everything. This weekend had no goals except to be with each other; and this weekend surpassed every expectation.<\/p>\n
This weekend had things go wrong. Some things we talked about doing did not happen, or didn’t happen when we wanted them to. We faced disappointment a few times. I even dented my car this weekend. But despite all of that, the disappointment was always nearly-immediately remedied by a well-timed hug, a well-placed kiss, or a caring look. <\/p>\n
Nothing was perfect about this weekend, but it was undoubtedly a perfect weekend.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
