  1. Is there a linux port?
    IPF 4.x runs on Linux. Recent versions even run on 2.6.x kernels. Darren tests on SUSE 9.1 (as of this writing), but it should work reasonably well on any distro. There have been many confirmations of successfully running it on CentOS/RHEL 4.

    IPF 3.4 was succesfully ported to RedHat 4.2. It is expected to work reasonably well with any 2.0.31+ kernel, on a non-glibc system. It does not work with any other later release of Linux.
    Also note that, for Linux version 2.2.x see IP Chains, and for Linux version 2.4.x and above see IP Tables.
